A territory where excellence in food and wine is the result of a long country tradition: this is Piacenza’s flagship in welcoming tourists with its numerous delicacies. 3 PDO cured meats (Coppa, Pancetta, and Salame), 2 PDO cheeses (Grana Padano and Provolone Val Padana), 102 certified traditional farm products, and 17 CDO wines (Colli Piacentini) among which Gutturnio, the symbol of Piacenza wine making, which takes its name from a silver goblet from the Roman period found on the banks of the Po river at the end of the 19th century.
